Baptism - Come To The Water (+ Elder Ordination & Baptisms @ 9:45 am)

Water shows up again and again throughout the story of Scripture. In the Old Testament, it becomes a picture of cleansing, rescue, and new beginnings. Then, in the New Testament, John baptizes in the Jordan, Jesus Himself steps into the water, and when the Gospel is preached at Pentecost, thousands respond by being baptized.

But somewhere along the way, for some, baptism got complicated.

Some traditions have minimized its importance. Others have attached things to baptism that Scripture never does. So this Sunday, we want to strip away the traditions, assumptions, and confusion and simply ask: What does the Bible actually say about baptism?
