Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the questions we hear most often from first-time visitors and members so you know what to expect when you join us.

The simple answer to that is, "However you feel comfortable!" You will see people at LifePointe in jeans, shorts, t-shirts, dress-shirts, khakis, jeans and even the occasional tie. The main thing is, we want you to be comfortable and we care more about your presence than your attire.

Our services are generally 60 minutes in length. Currently, we meet in-person at 8:15, 9:45 & 11:15 am on Sunday mornings, and stream LIVE on Facebook and Boxcast at 9:45 am.

For newborns through fifth grade, we have our KidPointe Programming which includes nursery, preschool classes, and elementary classes (through 5th grade). When you come into the building, take a hard left and you will see our KidPointe check-in area with our hosts. For 6th - 8th grade students, NextGen Student Ministry hosts a LifeGroup that meets during the preaching/teaching portion of our services. 9th - 12th grade students meet on Wednesday evenings in Toano and are encouraged to participate in the main worship service.

LifePointe Cafe provides our guests with a variety of Panera bagels, muffins and other items at no cost. Get here early enough and can also grab some great coffee, juice boxes for the kiddos, or bottled water. It's all free and our way of inviting you to make yourself at home.

At this time, we do not offer mid-week services in the traditional sense (ie, Wednesday night Bible study or Prayer Service). However, we do offer TWO semesters of LifeGroups annually - one in the Spring and one in the Fall - that offer a variety of meeting times and places, as well as study topics. We encourage LifePointe attenders to connect with one or more of these groups as they are able to.

If you have any other questions or concerns before you visit us, feel free to reach out to our Lead Minister, Phillip Murdock.

All In

All In

We realize that for some, the term MEMBERSHIP may carry a lot of baggage (good or bad). However, we believe it is something everyone who attends a local church should consider. To be clear, we try our best to treat everyone at LifePointe like family whether they are a “member/partner” or not. In fact, we prefer the term “partnership” over “membership” because this is not about joining a club or organization, it is about partnering our lives together for a common purpose (to make Jesus known). We do believe that partnering with a church has a distinct benefit for both the individual AND the church family as a whole. Partnering with a church through membership allows you to make a visible commitment of faith, find accountability, focus your gifts and skills, encourage others and join others on a journey as a committed partner versus a spectator.

Keep an eye on the LifePointe Event Page for upcoming "All In Sunday" events. And if you have questions, feel free to reach out to our Church Office or to our Connections Minister, Ryan Dent.
